Surviving Emotional Storms
Journey to the Lighthouse
Recovery Program for borderline personality and C-PTSD

The Full Story
Letters from the Lighthouse
(Extract from the book- with real life testimonials):
Inside the Lighthouse lounge there was a corkboard wall, covered in postcards and letters with beautiful messages from those who had arrived at the Lighthouse before me. There were notes about different parts of their journeys, and words of encouragement. I found that there were many more like me, who had already made it to the Lighthouse. I sadly read in some acknowledgements that not everyone made the journey, some where still stuck on their rocks, lost at sea. I relaxed in the Lighthouse, savouring all the encouraging messages, and brave stories. I read that some had set course to the mainland, others had decided to swim around the islands and explore caves, as they had mastered their environment and made the sea home.
The purpose of finding the Lighthouse had been to learn survival skills and to find ways of thriving through storms to get here. To gain a wider perspective from the top of the lighthouse.
I wrote and added to the wall my own journey notes and encouragement for others to read. I felt so proud of myself and grateful that I had made this journey.
